Looking for a delicious Chalong English breakfast? Jolly good old chap! Just kidding, we know Brits don’t speak like that, just like we know there’s nothing quite like an English breakfast to wake up to in the morning. All the crisp of fried bacon and crunchy hash brown with the creaminess of eggs, the umami of mushrooms, the tang of baked beans and the meatiness of a good ol Lincolnshire sausage. It’s a combination made in breakfast heaven.
Phuket has limited options when it comes to finding good quality meats at breakfast time (one of the very few downsides of the island) so it can be hard to find a breakfast that really tastes as good as home. Lucky for you, we’ve gathered up our favourite Brits and a few Aussies for good measure and tasted our way through Chalong to find you the very best Chalong English breakfast. Our cholesterol is a little worse for wear but our stomachs are happy. So, go ahead, read on to find out the very best spots for a Chalong English Breakfast.

Bite Restaurant and Gallery Phuket
Ok so, if you can’t get to Poached Breakfast Cafe for your Chalong English breakfast, Bite Restaurant and Gallery Phuket is probably the next best thing. The downside? They call it an American breakfast…
Jokes and semantics aside, the American breakfast is called that because it comes with pancakes. But feel free to remove them and sub them for extra bacon, because who doesn’t love extra bacon? They’ve historically had your classic English breakfast too with beans, eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, mushrooms and more – but they’ve had a very recent menu change so you might have to ask very nicely for your favourites.
They’ve also got avo on toast, eggs benedict, smoothie bowls and lots more to choose from at breakfast time. With fun, shark-themed decor, boho lights and bamboo roof, this place is pretty solid on the vibes and the flavour when it comes to a Chalong English breakfast
KOON Cafe Phuket
When it comes to finding a Chalong English breakfast, your options are a little limited. But KOON Cafe Phuket has some great choices on their menu. Of course you have your classic English breakfast as their 2 breakfast sets. Expect these to have a little bit of a ‘local’ twist though, i.e. the toast is a little sugary, the ham or bacon is not the same as you would have back in your home country but overall it’s a pretty decent effort and quite tasty.
They do some pretty decent croissants, sandwiches and the star of the show which is their fresh pastries. Great for after!
It’s a cafe with lovely decor, bright open space, nice lighting, huge windows and big comfortable tub chairs. They’ve also got some lovely outdoor seating options either under cover or in the green grass. Finish off your Chalong English breakfast with one of their signature coffee flavours like their Rose Iced Americano and more. It’s not bad, not bad at all!
The English Cafe
For those who are still hunting for a great Chalong English breakfast, The English Cafe might be just what you’re looking for. While this spot doesn’t have a website, it IS visible on Google Maps. For those of you hailing directly from The Sceptered Isle of Merry Old England, this is a real winner. They’ve got homemade bread which they use for their authentic breakfast butties with lashings of brown sauce or ketchup as you like it.
They’ve got your classic fry up with a lovely bit of scramble, hash brown, bacon, bangers (or sausages for us non-Brits), roasted tomato, mushrooms and black pudding. If you’re a stranger to black pudding and don’t mind weird things in your mouth, you should give it a try because the flavour is unbelievable. Just don’t Google what’s in it and you’ll be ok.
